Post On Demand (POD) version 7.1 is currently in heavy testing phase. It focuses on improved security, easier design of custom user interfaces, powerful split/merge functionalities and administration.

The richest hybrid mail solutions becomes even more advanced...
Interface ergonomicNow: POD is considered by users as "by far the simplest and friendliest hybrid mail solution we have tested".
With POD 7.1: Validation buttons have fixed positioning and make navigation through the interface even faster, credit balance is always displayed, messages are more visible, etc. |
Split and merge of documentsNow: It is possible to split a mail merged document (direct mail piece, invoicing run, etc.) based on its postal address.
With POD 7.1: It will be possible to split documents based on any character chain anywhere on the document (e.g. "Page 1/", "Dear Madam or Sir", etc.) or every X pages (e.g. split the document every 2 pages) or of course the address block. On top of this, you will be able to group several documents based on a key that you define into the same envelope (for example if the address or the client number are the same). For this, the documents must be sorted according to this key. |
Multi-channel delivery for batchesNow: You can submit say a 1000 individual documents to POD (via the virtual printer, DropBox or sFTP for example) and each one can be sent to a different channel based on the categorization rules you have set-up (e.g. an invoice with an email address on is sent by email, otherwise by post).
With POD 7.1: You will be able to submit a batched document which will be split. Each of the documents can be sent to a different channel based on the categorization rules previously defined. This makes e-delivery projects even simpler than before. For example, an accountant will now be able to generate a batch of invoices and simply submit it to POD. All documents that can be sent via email, or e-vaults will be, while all the other ones will be sent by post. |
Security policiesNow: POD integrates its own security (management of users, passwords encrypted in MD5, etc.). For larger accounts, integration with their LDAP, ActiveDirectory or SSO systems is available.
With POD 7.1: Administrators are able to force a password policy with the POD security (e.g. 8 digits password with at least one caps letter, etc.). |
New channels: e-vault and archivalNow: POD can deliver to mail, recorded mail, email, archiving channels. Other channels such as e-vaults were done on a custom basis.
With POD 7.1: Delivery can be done to e-vaults and external archival solutions. An e-vault is a secured archiving space for the destination contact while the archival channel is a secured space for the sender. We have also secured deals with the leading e-vault and archival solutions to be able to help you in our implementation projects. |
Personalization of the envelopeNow: It is difficult with hybrid mail to put a logo onto envelopes, as most hybrid mail services post with white envelopes.
With POD 7.1: We have built a "personalized enveloppe" channel that allows users to very simply define how they want the 2 sides of their envelope(s) customized. Of course this can only be proposed by service providers that have envelope customization hardware (from NMC, Riso or MB Bauer for example). |
Orders and document managementNow: Users and their managers can place, search and track orders (single or multiple document orders).
With POD 7.1: We have made it easier to search for particular documents via their address, date, category, etc. or any of the meta data collected. Each document can then be linked back to its order in the case of multi-document orders. |
